Aber was ist genau wirklicher, 3-dimensionaler: das Netz oder die Wirklichkeit? Das ist gar keine triviale Frage. Das Netz steht dabei für unseren Hybridstatus, unsere Verknüpftheit mit dem Netz, mit den Medien; der Wirklichkeit bleibt dann die nicht-medial-vermittelte Welt um uns herum. Und tatsächlich kann es gut sein, dass unsere Netzwahrnehmung so komplex geworden ist, dass sie drei Dimensionen längst überschritten hat, während umgekehrt die Wahrnehmung dessen, was außer dem Netz noch übrig bleibt, das Nicht- oder Kaum-Vermittelte, flach ist wie ein schwarz/weiß Schema auf einem Blatt Papier.

But what exactly is more real, more 3-dimensional: the net or reality? This is not a trivial question at all. The net stands for our hybrid status, our interconnectedness with the net, with the media; reality is then left with the non-media-mediated world around us. And indeed, it may well be that our perception of the net has become so complex that it has long since exceeded three dimensions, while conversely the perception of what remains besides the net, the non-mediated or barely-mediated, is as flat as a black-and-white diagram on a sheet of paper.
