Peter Ablinger:
6 Linien

für Klavier

6 Linien (6 Lines)

6x the 52 white keys of the piano from top down; each line interrupted for a few seconds by a rather unplayably fast repetitive burst - more spastic shiver than repetition -, whose pitches represent the scanning pattern from the frequency analysis of Arnold Schoenberg's "6 kleine Klavierstücke", a mechanically derived print, or cast, from 6 fragments of a recording of the original.
