Gösta Neuwirth

Gösta Neuwirth is my first composition teacher. He teached me the secrets of coding and numbers in renaissance music and others. What interests me is that there exists a complex mathematical/symbolical speculation which is part of the music but cannot be heard. It only can be read or counted. This aspect also seems to be relevant for the latest considerations about a non-cochlear music.

I am posting here two of his articles - a message in a bottle - hoping that they will find someone who will translate this eminent "secrets" from german at some point:

Gösta Neuwirth: "Erzählung von Zahlen", Musik-Konzepte Band 26/27, München 1982 (pdf, 10MB)

Gösta Neuwirth: "Rotas - Sator", Österreischische Musikzeitung, Jg.35, 1980; Wiederabdruck in: Musik-Konzepte Band 39/40 München 1984 (pdf, 8MB)

a link to his music:
Gösta Neuwirth: "Der Garten der Pfade, die sich verzweigen", 1975
